I love the rosary.This devotion has had great impact on my prayer life and my life as a Catholic. I was a worrier, especially at night. I would lie awake and stress over ithings that "might" happen. Last year I started praying the rosary in bed. It brought such feelings of warmth and peace, like curling up in Mother Mary's lap looking through a picture book of Jesus. Mary showed me the life of her Son, Jesus, while all cuddled up under her mantle. So I would fall asleep and not worry. Making rosaries has further increased my zeal for this ancient devotion. Each rosary I make is unique and special—like each one of us. There is a rosary for everyone!

St Margaret of Cortona

"Margaret who?" This is what people say when I talk about my patron saint. When I converted to Catholicism in 1999, and the time came to pick a confirmation name, I wanted to pick a saint that understood me and where I had come from in my life. So many of the female saints lived holy lives from their early childhood. When I read St. Margaret of Cortona's story, I was deeply moved. I felt a whisper in my soul, a sense of compassion and understanding washed over me. It was as if St. Margaret had chosen me, instead of me choosing her. Since joining the Church, St. Margaret has provided me with great strength, especially with resisting temptations. She is an appropriate role model for today. She went from a sinner, wallowing in sins of the flesh, to a great saint favored with visions of Christ and whose body is incorrupt after 700 years. St. Margaret of Cortona has inspired me to be a better Christian, and I want everyone to know "Margaret who."
